With recent government initiatives and targets in mind, Chris Hill Community Sports will support primary schools by delivering quality PE lessons as part of the curriculum.

Balancing PPA with the demands of a modern day school time table is a challenge faced by all teachers. However, here at CHCS we believe the PPA cover is the ideal opportunity to provide top quality Sport Coaching / Teaching. CHCS has developed a professional and rewarding PPA service, where primary schools can take advantage of professional and qualified coaches from a range of sports. Therefore hitting the targets of high quality PE time, and providing supervision whilst class teacher takes PPA time. Therefore hitting two key government targets.

It's a system that benefits everyone, pupils, teachers and the School.

• Pupils will enjoy and learn skills from quality, qualified and professional coaches coming from a Sports Development / coaching and teaching background.

• Pupils will develop new key fundamental skills such as teamwork and leadership.

• They learn the value of taking part - with the possible benefit of increasing their interest in sports activities outside school. Showing key links between local clubs / organisations and the school.

Our PPA package is designed to keep your pupils active while meeting the changing demands of today's Primary Schools. We can alter sessions to suit time and space available.

Our aim is to exceed all expectations that your school has for PE and sport and to provide everything needed to allow potential to be fulfilled. Our services include also include:

• An initial meeting with the Primary Link teacher and head to go through what the school’s needs for PE are and what they are aiming to achieve for the children and school as a whole.

• Termly meetings to aid in the assessment process and ensure children are reaching the necessary attainment levels for their key stage.

• Initiatives and planning to ensure the school is meeting the government’s targets for sport and PE including out of school hours learning and making use of resources available to promote sporting opportunities for all.

• All session plans and schemes of work provided for your files.

We believe that sports coaching companies should not only provide PE and sport sessions, but also be part of your school. This is why we aim to be involved with all aspects of your school year including sports day, fetes and fundraising events. We can completely take care of the organisation, promotion and planning for such events. However, if notified we are also just as happy to turn up to provide much needed moral support for the children or event.

Our staff follow our own scheme of work, which follows National Curriculum guidelines - covering the whole PE curriculum - (invasion games, striking and fielding games, net games, athletics and gymnastics)

Our coaches can also provide your school with individual child assessments that can be used as part of a child's annual report.
