CHCS ‘coaches in schools scheme’ prides itself on the quality of its curriculum and after school delivery to primary school across the High Peak to date. We have strong team of bright, intelligent and professional coaches all with a passion for sport and development, all working under the banner of our CHCS objective for professionalism. Our coaches come from a variety of coaching, teaching and development backgrounds and offer a wide variety of coaching in a number of sports.
All staff leading sessions in schools are qualified to Level 2 standard in at least 1 NGB Sport. All Dance staff are also appropriately qualified. Many staff have educational studied certificates and degrees coupled with a range of sports qualifications. All staff are fully DBS checked, referenced and are covered by our insurance, music licences etc. CHCS coaches are continually supported and are always pursuing the latest development and initiatives in primary school sport with our internal staff training and assessments. This is coupled with the basics expected from our staff and values which are very high to us including politeness, manners and punctuality.
Our coaches work closely with all local partners and organisations, with the aim to make CHCS the best provider of PE education in schools.
A coach will tend to work in the same school through out the year, creating strong relations with the PE Co-Ordinator, class teachers and Head Teachers. Often the coach will guide the PE coordinator in developing the school PE programme and implementing assessment procedures. As coaches work more and more in the schools, they become valued members of the staff.
